So you started a blog and you would like to make money from it. There’S only one problem, though you don’t have enough traffic in this video, I’m gonna give you seven tips to grow your blog traffic for free and some of them. I’M sure you’ve never heard of before so tip number one is to focus on quality instead of quantity. Now it’s a common myth out there that the more content you create – or in this case the more blog posts that you create, the more traffic increases. I Drive over 80 thousand visitors every month to one of my blogs and 80 percent of my traffic actually comes from just five or seven blog posts, so, contrary to popular belief, you actually don’t need more blog posts to get more traffic.
Now you’re probably wondering how do I figure out? What is the right type of content for my blog now there’s so many tools that you can use. You can use bus Tsuboi, you can use uber suggests you can use Google Trends, you can use key search and you can even use search engines just Pinterest or YouTube to find out what it is that people are actually looking for and interested in reading about. So the best way for you to create quality content on your blog is to pick up keywords and topics which are not highly competitive and when you actually have a chance to rank whether it is on Google or it isn’t any other search engine. So the second tip that I have for you is to go by your audiences.
Instead of waiting for people to find you and your blog, you go aware, your people are so the way you go about. It is to actually create an ideal reader persona or an avatar, and some people like to call it in the marketing circles, where you identify, who exactly is your ideal reader? It’S really important for you here to take a step back and to actually narrow down your ideal reader profile figure out. What are the characteristics of your ideal reader profile? Is it a female?
Is it someone who is a millennial, or maybe a Gen Z person? Is it someone who has a college degree? Is it someone who has a high school education so on and so forth? This will not only help you the next better with your audience and with people that you’re writing for, but will also help you figure out exactly where your tribe is hanging out, so once you’ve actually written down. What are the characteristics of your ideal reader?
Now you need to research and find out where they’re hanging out so is your audience on Instagram is your audience on Facebook? Is your audience on Pinterest, once you figure out where your audiences, you create a strategy to actually go to your audience instead of waiting for them to come and find you remember, there are billions of blogs out there. You are just one of them and if you’re just starting out chances are people are not going to find you organically, you have to make some effort to actually promote your blog to the right audiences. The one thing that I do want to warn you here about is not to get mixed up with too many social media platforms, so it can be really tempting to work on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and pretty much every other platform out there. But you have to take into consideration that you will have limited time and limited reach so make sure to actually maximize your reach on the platform where the majority of your tribe is hanging out and where it is easiest for you to actually connect with them.
Tip number three is to make friends in the industry. It is way harder to grow in the blogging world alone than it is to actually grow together. So what you can do is that you can find out who are other bloggers out there who have a similar audience to yours and who are not too big and not too small and kind of roughly have the same audience that you do, because those are the People who would be most likely to collaborate with you on your requests, so there’s three ways of actually going about collaborating with people and making friends in the industry. The first way is the most popular way, which is Franti already heard about which is reaching out to someone for a guest post and pitching them a particular blog post of yours on their blog to get you some additional exposure. The second way to reach other people is to ask them for a code for a particular round of posts.
So let’s say that you’re creating a post on thirty bucket list items in the world that you must — you, then you can reach out to various different bloggers from different backgrounds and ask them for a code in exchange for a link on their blog. Even if you don’t directly get a link to your blog, just opening up the conversation is gonna help. You further round the line when you actually are ready to collaborate with these particular bloggers and the third way to start a relationship is to ask someone for an interview. Now you can either pitch yourself as a guest in someone else’s blog or you can ask them to be an interviewee on your blog now. What this does is that it builds a relationship with fellow bloggers in your industry, who will then share your blog and your social media channels with their audiences as well.
Now I know that collapse are not that easy and it can be hard to keep pitching and selling cold emails. However, if you just go with a simple aim, such as one collaboration per month, whether it’s a guest post or an interview post or it is around a post, that’s a pretty decent target to aim for what collab per month equals 12 for labs in a year. And I think anyone with a little bit of extra time should be able to manage that tip. Number four is to leverage Facebook groups. Now I don’t know about you, but when I first found out about Facebook roots, I was pretty shocked.
I didn’t know that there were so many groups out there. That would help me share and promote my blog now. There are different types of Facebook groups and Facebook groups that exist just to share knowledge and to talk about problems. There are Facebook groups that exists for the sole purpose of promoting your blog posts and growing your traffic there, even groups that are directly about backlinks, as well as guest post requests. Your job is to find out the most relevant groups in your niche and find ways to participate in the conversation there.
Now, even if you don’t directly go and come on your legs on a Facebook group, you can use these groups to actually connect with people share with people look for guest posts, collaborations, etc. Facebook groups are also a great way for you to keep up with the trend in the industry because you always know what’s going on with the chatter in these groups. So, even though I don’t use Facebook groups anymore, they’re, actually, the reason why I have a course called Pinterest raff explosion, because it was by being in these groups that I realized what a big problem people have with growing their traffic and using Pinterest. And this is where I realized. This was something that I had expertise in, because I Drive hundreds of thousands of page views from Pinterest every month to my blogs, and this is a service that I want to share with my fellow bloggers as well, which then led me to my course, which now Leads to passive income pretty much an autopilot every month.
Tip number five is to use Pinterest for traffic generation. You saw that coming right, so Pinterest is the biggest reason why I am where I am today and I actually am able to drive hundreds of thousands of visitors to my blogs every month consistently for free many people actually underestimate the power of Pinterest. But if your ideal audience or your particular industry is on Pinterest, then there is literally no platform out there that can help you grow faster than Pinterest can, especially when you have a strategy on how you show up on Pinterest. Now only this Pinterest users are accustomed to taking out of the platform and buying products and services, which is great news for bloggers, whereas if you were to move on Facebook or on Twitter, people are primarily there to dear friends and not necessarily to read blog posts Right, this is what makes which was really unique and the user base that Pinterest has really unique as well, which means for you, there’s so much opportunity to actually generate traffic from Pinterest if you’re not leveraging it in a smart way. Now I have tons of videos on this channel which are related to Pinterest marketing, make sure to check out my Pinterest for business playlist so that you can grow your traffic using Pinterest tip number six is to optimize for success, now think about it.
How many times has it been that you were actually on our website which took five minutes to load and then you just bounced off from it and never came back to the website again, there’s so many things that we ignore as new bloggers that we should not Be ignoring especially when it comes to optimization for SEO and optimization for readability now, if your text is too small or your website is taking too long to load, people are going to bounce and not come back. It’S important to remember here that growing your blog’s traffic does not happen in a silo. There are so many different factors that actually contribute to your blog’s truth. You have to ensure that, from the time someone discovers your blog to the time that they actually click through and come on your blog posts to the time that they leave your blog. All of these steps have been optimized and carefully thought-out.
An easy way to go about optimization is to just send your blog’s link to your friends and family and ask them for feedback on what their experience with your blog was now. This doesn’t mean that you need to be investing in high-end themes or high-end plugins. A lot of free themes and free plugins can do the job for you, especially as a beginner blogger, but you do need to ensure that you spend some time understanding how these themes and plugins work together and making sure that the readers experience on your blog is Nothing short of stellar, because when your reader is happy, they are going to come back to your blog again and again, resulting in more traffic, so tip number seven that I have for you to grow. A blog traffic is to use Google search console. Now, if you don’t already have an account, I would highly recommend to go on Google search, console and sign up for it ASAP.
You might have to verify your website first to be able to sign up now, you’re, probably wondering what exactly is the Google search console? So Google search console is essentially the back end of your search performance on Google and Google being the largest search engine in the world. It really helps to understand what is working on Google when it comes to your blog. What are the keywords that are ranking on your blog? What are the top landing pages?
What are the different backlinks that you have collected or on your blog, and what this does is that over time, it helps you understand what kind of content people are really looking to read on your blog versus what kind of content does not pick up at all Approaches that I have for you here is to check out all of the longtail keywords. Then your blog is ranking for in your Google search console and make sure to update your old articles or your old blog posts that link to those keywords. Adding those keywords in so essentially what you do is: instead of changing the entire blog post, you just go back and you optimize it making sure that you naturally add these keywords that your blog is ranking for what it does is that over time it helps you Go up and up on Google search, which is the aim for you when it comes to driving more traffic from Google. One of the other features that I really love about, Google search console is the site links feature you can actually identify which of your blog posts are gathering the highest links and you can even identify where all of your links are coming from. You don’t need to even pay for this service, it is completely free and I would highly recommend that you hop on it if you’re serious about growing in your blog traffic.
Now I know how hard it is to drive traffic to your blog, especially when you’re starting out in the first six or eight months, and because of this reason I identified Pinterest as a source of traffic.
