All right everyone, so today, what we’re going to do is we’re going to do a article, quick tip which explains to you how to use google webmaster tools and the data within google webmaster tools to really benefit your traffic on your website and really kind of breaking. This down, the idea behind this tip is that you use your Google Webmaster Tools, data to understand the longtail keywords that you’re already ranking for, but your ranking low for that have a decent amount of search volume around them and then what you’re going to do is You’Re going to create content very specifically around that particular keyword, so that you can rank higher so why this is such a great idea.
What is the reason that this is so great? The reality of SEO is it’s a very difficult skill to master and often times people spend their time trying new tips and tricks that never seem to pan out so whether it be link building on-page content, optimization guest posting, private blog networks or any of the other Tactics that people think might help you know their SEO, there’s never going to be a guarantee. In my opinion, anyone that guarantees anything with SEO is an absolute joke and you shouldn’t listen to them.
With that being said, I’m not going to sit here and guarantee that you’re going to rank on the first page of Google. With this tactic, I refuse to do that. It’S nothing that I’m just I’m not willing to do it. However, I will say that I have had a lot of experience doing this myself and typically, that is the end result of my efforts. It’S been extremely successful and I’ve really really liked what what it’s done.
So that’s why I’m willing to share it with you guys now. Why is this such a great tactic? I think this is important to understand and there’s three reasons or a three step process to this. First, you need to implement google webmaster tools on your website. If you haven’t done that I’ll explain how to do that in a little bit next, you view the keywords that people are using to get to your website and create content very specifically around those keywords that are going to yield the best results for more traffic to your website and we’ll talk about how it you know how you select the right keywords and then third, you end up with two results that actually show on the search engine results page on the first page of that.
Typically, one of those results is your website and it ranks within the one to three position on the page and the other result is somewhere in the seven to ten range. This is a great tactic, because it gives you two pages on the first page of Google results, and you already know what the search volume is, and it’s one of the better things that you can do when you’re just starting out, because your domain is already ranking On that keyword, so what we’re doing is we’re looking at data that’s already there. We know that we’re already ranking for it and we’re just kind of fine-tuning our content to go along with that to rank just a little bit better, which is going to get you more search volume so starting off. How is it that you’re going to add google webmaster tools to a website, and – and this is a pretty common question so before I even get into how we install let’s talk about what Google Webmaster Tools is, because some of you may not even know that. So, let’s think of it this way, if Google Analytics is all about showing you how your visitors interact with your website.
Google Webmaster Tools is all about showing you how Google interacts with your website it’s an absolute requirement in my opinion, for anybody that currently has a website because it lets. You know where you stand in the eyes of the largest search engine in the world, which of course, is Google, so I’m actually going to show you a step by step process here and explain how you can install google webmaster tools on your website. Alright, so, starting out, you probably recognize this screen. I think that we’ve all been to it at one point or another, and this is just the Google Analytics screen and what you’re going to want to do. You’Re going to want to open up a new tab and you’re going to want to go into Google Webmaster Tools, so we’re going to put that in here – and here is Google Webmaster Tools.
Now I’ve got a few sites that are already out here. You see one our professor calm, you also see best transcription software, which is another site of mine, and what we want to do is we want to add a site to this and we want to enter the URL of a site that you’d like to manage. Now. I’Ve mentioned that I’m doing a niche website case study right right now. The 90 percent outsource niche website.
So I’m actually going to go ahead and add this on here with that being said, I am going to blur out this information because I don’t want you guys. I don’t want to disclose to anyone just yet what this niche website is, because I don’t want anyone to steal the idea, so I’m going to blur this out, but I’m going to go ahead and type it in here. Alright. So it’s in here so we’re going to go ahead and press Continue and when we get into here, you can see that there’s a few ways to do this. First, we can upload an HTML file to the website and this is a recommended method that you can do and you upload it directly to the website and then it will verify it once you click on verify.
This is the recommended method. Now we’re going to go to the alternate methods, because there’s actually an easier way to do this. If you already have Google Analytics on your website, which I do and the easier method or the easier way to do, this is actually just to go ahead and click on use. Your Google Analytics account and we’re going to click verify. I just verified my ownership of my niche website and now that we’ve done that, I’m actually going to backtrack here and I’m not going to be using my niche website to talk about the keyword research portion of this.
Simply because of the fact that, obviously I just added google webmaster tools to it. So there’s no reason to do that. It’S not going to have any data, so instead we’re actually going to use the one our professor website and some of the data there and I’m going to show you the keyword that I would choose. If I were to do this right now. So let me go ahead and pull that up here.
Alright, and now I am actually in the Google Webmaster Tools for one hour, professor comm and you can see, there’s a lot of information here and really, if you’re interested in knowing what it is your website or how it’s looking getting looked at by Google. If you go into google index search traffic, you can look at a lot of this information, but what I’m going to do for the purpose of this is I’m just going to go into the search query area? That’S really what we’re interested in to find the right keywords to focus on okay. So let’s go into search queries all right, so you can see this is my overall traffic. The amount of people that are coming to my website tells you the amount of impressions and clicks over time, but the cool thing about this is right here and I’m blurring out a lot of these keywords.
Because again I don’t want people to come in and start using the same keywords that I am and then my website starts losing organic traffic right. So I have to protect myself with that, but with that being said, these are the keywords on the left side. It is actually the keywords and it tells you the impressions, clicks, click-through rate and average position. Okay, you can see obviously for my top clicks. I have average positions of one.
You know one two: three, I have a 7.2 down here which actually dropped a little bit when I updated or upgraded my website and did the redesign, but that’s neither here nor there. Let’S talk about exactly how we can do this, so we go to the bottom here, I’m sorry. We go up to the top and we want to change the date to a little bit larger, so we’re going to go. This will only go back so far.
We’Re going to go from August 7th to today and you can see. Can you tell where my redesign happened? Womp womp, that’s that’s where my redesign happen. Oddly enough, I actually I mean I have less clicks now, but I’m you know it’s not a crazy amount of less clicks. This is because the images were ranking pretty well before so the impressions have fallen because of that.
So it’s a little deceiving looking at this graph, but what we’re going to do is we’re going to go down here. Okay and really what I want to do here is. I want to look for a keyword that I have a decent amount of impressions. My average position on the page is lower somewhere between I’d, say six to ten on the on the ranking in this average position. This right.
This signifies your average position on on google right. So anything that’s between one to ten you’re on the first page of Google. So we want to look at an average position – that’s kind of low. You know somewhere between six to ten and we’re doing that, because that particular keyword we’re already ranking for it, so our domain authority and our link profile. Those don’t matter all that much at this point right.
They don’t matter because we’re already ranking it. It’S almost you know not really an issue. So what we’re trying to do is we’re trying to look at keywords that we already have some. You know we’re already ranking on the first page of Google and they have a large amount of impressions, but we’re not really capturing all those impressions and we’re definitely not capturing as much traffic because we’re not ranked in the first or second or third position, ideally first, But you know you can’t control everything, so, let’s scroll down here this one I know – and you can’t see that keyword, but I know that that one’s very competitive actually, so I’m not really going after that one. This is an option, but again I’ve already done this research, so this one’s a little competitive.
We don’t necessarily want to go to that and let’s see here, I’m just trying to find the right one 7.5, it’s kind of along the same topic. I know the ones that are competitive because I’ve already done this research again. So what we’ll do is we’ll go through. Ok, this is a perfect one to me and I’m actually showing you.
You can see it here on the page, I’m showing you what this keyword is. So what does labeled for reuse mean on Google Images very long tail keyword right. It has 97 impressions. It has three clicks and I’m ranked five point six. So I’m ranked pretty low.
You know between five or six, so what we’re going to do is we’re going to highlight this and we’re going to go into Google and we’re actually going to search this all right so find images on Google that you can reuse. That’S that’s Google itself or we don’t rank them, probably not possible. The images here, Google license for reuse image, image search how to look for how to filter what does not filter by license. So I’m all the way down here, so how cool would it be? If I could get in one or two, that’s kind of the idea behind this right and ideally you’re, going to have a keyword that doesn’t include the images right here within the search results.
That’S not the best thing in the world, but really what you’re doing is. Then you’re going and you’re creating a blog post. What does labeled for reuse mean on google images? Okay and you specifically optimize a blog post for that particular content, all right! So that’s what I’m actually going to do after we finish up with this, and I have to take the time to actually write this blog post, but it’s really just a blog post.
Just like anything else, you get pretty in-depth with it and you explain what does labeled for use mean on Google images and you go into great detail about what that means, and you write a blog post somewhere between you know, five hundred to a thousand characters explaining In great detail, what that means on google images and what does label for reuse mean and everything around that you really cover that topic. Can you give kind of an in-depth article about what that is? Okay, what that’s going to enable you to do is, as you can see right here. We have 97 impressions that were not capturing we’re capturing 3 out of 97 when you start off. This is a great tactic, because again, I’m already thinking for this.
On the first page of Google, but I’m ranking relatively low. Okay and again, this is just my example. There could be other examples for your own website once you have google webmaster tools in there and it’s collected data. You might have a better example here, but really what you want to do is you want to go for the lower position with the reasonably high, somewhat high impressions, and then the low amount of clicks, because all you’re doing is saying well, I’m already ranking in the First page, if I were to write a little bit better content focus on this one keyword, then I’ll be able to rank higher. So, let’s take a second and talk about exactly how it is that you can optimize your on-page content on your website to ensure that you’re going to have the best chance to rank on the first page of Google when you write this content.
Okay, so I’m going to go ahead and setup a new blog post here I use WordPress with the one hour professor website, I’m going to set up a new blog post and another thing is: I use Yoast SEO. That’S the plug-in that I use that’s the plug-in that I recommend to you as well. It’S a great plugin, very specific, with SEO lets you do a lot of cool things, so I’m going to go ahead and pull that screen up now. Alright! So here we are.
We are in the back page of the one, our professor website. We are on WordPress and we’re going to enter the title and the title is going to be the exact keyword that you’re trying to get right and that’s actually going to aggregate within the here. We go. What does labeled for reuse mean on Google images, that’s going to aggregate within the URL, which is a good thing. Okay, so we’re going to have it there and then what we’re also going to do?
You can add it here as a focus keyword. It’S kind of groups – it’s kind of irrelevant at this point, but you can add it if you’d like what is the SEO? What is the title of the particular page? Obviously we want to capitalize this, but what does labeled for rias mean on right? Capitalized, google, google images okay, so we have that in there the meta description we could just put and again you want to have this within the meta description, wondering what we’ll get rid of does.
What labeled for reuse means. Google Images remark, so was I and here’s? What my research shows, I don’t know exactly if that’s going to be the best one that I would do. But the point is you just create a Meta Description, that’s up to 156 characters and you create one. I’M actually going to put this on pause for a second and think so I can come up with a decent one hold on one.
Second, all right, it came up with one so wondering what labeled for reuse means on Google images you aren’t alone. Google doesn’t do a great job of explaining what it means and how to use it, and that’s just the teaser. That’S what they’re going to see in the search results right and that’s really going to be pretty much it, and this is why Yoast SEO is a little a because does the page URL contain it? Yes, it does, but it says no, does a meta description contain it? Yes, it does.
You can see it right here, but again it says no, because it’s not maybe exact what they’re doing and then my biggest thing you know people ask how much in the content. How many times should I use the keyword right. Naturally, that’s what I’m going to tell you about that, because, if you’re writing about this particular topic, this content is going to come up. Naturally, you don’t have to do any super great tricks and all these different things to make this content show up. You’Re writing about this content.
It’S going to show up naturally, so my advice is, after this point just write about the content. Talk about the content, like I said somewhere between 500 to a thousand, you know, characters is what you want to do or I’m sorry, five hundred to a thousand words is what you want to do, because you want to be relatively in-depth and, depending on what the Key word is, if you can get more in depth great, if you can’t that’s fine too, but that’s the tip and what ends up happening is like. I said you write this more specific article and what’s going to end up happening, is your current article? That’S already ranking on the search engine results page is going to be somewhere between six to ten and it’s going to be down there. But then you’re going to write this new one and it’s going to be very specific and because that other one is already ranking.
You know that this has low competition, especially like my website. I don’t have the greatest link profile built yet so, what’s going to end up happening, is I’m going to get it so that I have two blog posts or two pages on the search engine results page? This one, which I’ll bet you will be between one to three once I complete it in terms of position and then the other one which is somewhere between six to ten. If you do this as much as possible and sometimes you’re going to come across really competitive ones where it doesn’t make sense. But if you do this to the best your ability and use your best judgment and look at the pages and kind of understand how competitive they are using something like longtail Pro, which is the tool that I recommend and that I use.
If you do this, then you’re bound to get more traffic straight to your website straight from SEO, because you’re already ranking you already know what the traffic is. All you need to do is customize your content, a little more to the particular keyword. So hopefully you guys found this helpful. I know that I’ve used this for some time. It’S been doing some great things for me.
